Marc-André Runcie-Unger
With a background in digital media and community-building, Marc brings creativity, warmth, and vision to the studio. His focus on fostering inclusive environments helps shape every aspect of Black Lotus, from studio culture to client experience.
Iain Runcie-Unger
Co-owner alongside Marc, Iain shares the passion for artistic expression and community engagement. Together, they are building Black Lotus into a welcoming space where every artist and client can express themselves freely and meaningfully.
Both Marc and Iain have a deep admiration for Japanese culture — from its rich artistic traditions to the meaning behind classic tattoo symbolism. Many of Marc’s Japanese tattoos were designed and tattooed by resident artist Billy, and Iain proudly wears a large phoenix piece across his back, also inked by Billy — a powerful symbol of transformation and renewal that reflects the spirit of the studio itself.
